Student Services
Mission
By advocating for ALL students, the Student Services Center at Lakeview Middle School strives to create positive and impacting relationships with students. In partnership with parents, teachers, and students, we will explore each child’s academic, personal/social, and career development. We will do our best to acknowledge, validate, and support each child to achieve his/her goals.
Vision
The Lakeview Student Services Center values each and every student. It is our intention to convey to each student that WE CARE and THEY MATTER.

Therapy Dog: Addie
Addie is a 2 ½ -year-old Cockapoo is a part of our school Student Services Team. She has been a registered therapy dog since March 2023, when she passed the Canine Good Citizen test, which is a therapy dog organization recognized by the American Kennel Club. To complete her registration, we were evaluated through Pet Partners, which is a nationally recognized pet therapy organization. Addie also has a veterinarian signed health statement. As you can see...she is fluffy, but she is a non-shedding, hypoallergenic breed. Addie is typically at Lakeview 2 days a week. Research shows that positive interactions with animals increase endorphins, oxytocin, prolactin, and dopamine, the hormones associated with blood pressure regulation, pain relief, stress relief and joy. Research further shows that these interactions lead to decreased worry and anxiety, development of interpersonal/social skills, and enhanced relationships with peers and adults.
Please be aware that no student is ever obligated to interact with Addie. If you do not want your child to interact with Addie, the Lakeview therapy dog, please fill out this OPT OUT FORM HERE.
