Track and Field

- Lynx Track teams will participate in competitions around the Kansas City area.
- Practices are held after school hours.
- Most meets begin at 4 PM. The schedule will be provided by the coach or you can check the Lakeview website.
- Transportation for practices is not provided. Meets will have transportation to and from Lakeview.
- Athletes are provided uniform, but will need to provide their own shoes and socks.
- Students must be academically eligible to play per the Missouri State High School Athletic Association standards found at MSHSAA.org.
Are you interested in participating in Track this Spring?
- To be eligible to participate, you must be in 7th or 8th grade and have not failed more than one class during 2nd quarter of this academic year.
- All students who participate in sports at Park Hill must have a Privit account for health information. Participation requirements include: MSHSSA Sports Physical, MSHSAA Annual Documentation, SWAY (concussion) Testing, and a $25 sports fee. If you have been on a sports team at Lakeview this academic year, these requirements have been met. If this is your first sport at Lakeview this year, these requirements must be met before the first day of practice. Find more information HERE.
- Practices will start on Monday, March 2nd with an end time of 4:00. Athletes must be picked up by the gym doors by 4:10 each day.
- There are 10 Track meets throughout the season. The last 3 meets will be invitation only.
- Goals of middle school track include:
- Expose athletes to an array of events
- Teach the foundations of teamwork
- Focus on commitment to individual improvement
