Daily Hours: 7:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

 


Types of Materials include fiction, non-fiction, biographies, Truman Readers Award and Mark Twain Readers Award. 

Policies

Check outs: We encourage students to check out two free reading books at a time, but may have three with parents' permission.

Due dates: Books can be checked out for two weeks and may be renewed once.

Overdue Items: If students have overdue books, parents will be called and students will have to pay for missing materials. Payments may be made with cash, checks, or online in Infinite Campus.

Services

Lesson Collaboration: The Media Specialist assists teachers with lesson plans by suggesting relevant materials and also collaborates and co-teaches on lessons in different curricular areas.

Reserves/Holds: Teachers can reserve items from other buildings. Students can only place holds/reserves on titles which are available in the Lakeview Media Center. 

Mission Statement

The mission of the Lakeview Middle School Media Center is to inspire an enthusiasm and love for reading, to equip students to become skilled users of information tools, to develop life-long learners, and to integrate technology into the school curriculum through collaboration.
